Meals include:
Breakfast,
served between 8.00 and 9.00 am and consists of unsugared cereals plus
marmite toast, croissants, pancakes, crumpets (or whatever takes our
fancy) with fruit juice or milk.
Snack times -
morning (9.15 – 11.00am) / afternoon (1.15 – 3.00pm) - a selection of up
to five different fresh fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, ethnic
breads and dips plus milk.
Lunch,
a two course ‘international cuisine’ menu, including at least 2 portions
of vegetables/fruit, cooked on the premises using fresh, locally bought,
produce whenever possible. All children are encouraged to drink water
after the meal to aid digestion.
Tea,
a two course hot or cold meal which includes the main course, a milky
pudding and a drink.
Supper,
a light snack served at approximately 5.30pm usually consisting of
either fruit/vegetable crudités with dips, biscuits/crackers & cheese,
soup, fruit breads, crumpets, speciality breads etc and a drink.
Fresh drinking water is available throughout the day. The children may help themselves to
this as and when they need it, serving themselves from small jugs placed
on a low table. |
