Whitton Day Nursery opened in 1991. We operate from one
large playroom plus two small rooms and a separate baby
unit. We are situated close to Whitton High Street, and
serve families from all areas of the local community.
The nursery caters for children from three months to 5
years of age and we are open Monday to Friday from 08:00
- 18:00, 52 weeks of the year. |

Children may attend on a sessional (half day) or full
time basis. The nursery is registered to provide day
care for up to 41 children including several ‘funded’ 3
and 4 year olds. We support children with Special
Educational Needs and those who have English as their
second language – some of our staff members have an
additional language, including Asian languages.
We accept all employer supported childcare vouchers. |

We currently have 14 staff members working directly with
the children, 10 of whom have Early Years qualifications
and others who are on training programmes. One member of
staff has a teaching qualification and is in charge of
the educational programme for our ‘Pre-school’ children.
The setting receives support from the Early Years
Development and Childcare Partnership and follows the
Foundation Stages of Learning with the children as well
as the current Birth to three years framework. |

Places are, understandably, highly sought after by
parents in the area, with only limited availability for
2007-8. We recommend, therefore, that should you wish to
book a place, you do so as early as possible or ask to
join our waiting list.
Our Baby Unit is particularly busy and constantly fully
booked and parents are strongly advised to book places
during pregnancy or shortly after birth in order to be
assured a place! |

OFSTED Report
December - 2005 "The provision is outstanding. Children
learn to keep safe in a welcoming and stimulating
purpose built facility. They are able to freely move
around the inside/outside learning environment for the
majority of the session." Please download our December
2005 Report
